Fundraising in memory of Amelia, Teddy and Archie Quinn

My Story

We are fundraising for Louis because myself mark (one of the directors of marvalous competitions)and my wife have had 3 still born babies over 12 years. Our first in 2014 Amelia Jayne Quinn, our first baby girl was born sleeping and shared her birthday with Heather my wife after a traumatic birth Amelia was born sleeping after her birth we raised enough money for a cuddle cot in her name to be donated to ormskirk hospital. 10th May 2015 our second still born baby Teddy Quinn was born sleeping. Unfortunately Teddy was the first baby to use the cuddle cot in memory of his sister Amelia. A cuddle cot is cold incubator cot which allows parents to spend longer with there baby's whilst they still look like thereself. After Teddy myself and my wife decided to have a post mortem done to see if there were any reasons behind the deaths, a few months passed and we found out my wife had a blood clotting disorder called Thrombophilia which causes the placenta to rupture causing stale blood and infections which led to the death of our baby's. In 2018 myself and my wife after a very long and nervouse 9 months welcomed our little girl lexi jayne into our family along with her 10 year old brother George. Heather had to inject herself every day with clexane which thinned her blood along with other medications and a lot of appointments. 29th August 2023 our precious baby boy Archie Quinn was born sleeping, Archie's birth and death had a massive effect on our mental health and heather's physical health. Archie took 4 days to be delivered and multiple procedures which were heartbreaking to see my wife go through, let alone the mental challenge of knowing our baby was dead inside my now wife. After 4 days Archie was born sleeping. We decided to keep Archies sex a surprise until the birth but my wife had a feeling she was carrying a boy so Archie was his name. My wife had her eyes closed through the labour and as long as she could until she had to see our baby. My heart broke right in that moment when the midwife handed me my sleeping baby boy. Myself and my wife held Archie and broke down. Family came to support us and spend time with Archie as he rested in the cuddle cot which was in memory of "Eliza Rae Kember-Smith". We decided to stay with Archie over night and then the next day before he was sent to alder hey for a post mortem. Leaving our baby on that ward whilste we walked away with our 4louis box was the hardest thing we have ever done. That day broke us mentally in ways we did not yet know.We were handed our 3rd 4louis box by the bereavement midwife who kindly took hand and foot prints of Archie. Inside the box were multiple items which were very comforting to us. Our children were also given bereavement packs with little white teddy bears which my daughter Lexi sleeps with every night and calls him Archie. The box and packs were a massive Comfort to all members of our family and continue to be to this day. Myself and heather decided that we would get married 2 months later when Archie was due. We wanted to turn a negative into a possitive so on the 10th november 2023 we had pur day and became Mr and Mrs Quinn. In late 2024/2025 myself and my wife had our own mental breakdowns within a few months of each other i myself had a mental breakdown and ended up in a psychiatric hospital for a week as my anxiety over every aspect in my life was to much to handle especially over my daughter lexi. Horrifically we live extremely close to the vile man who shall not be named who took the life of three beautiful angels enjoying a taylor swift dance class in our town southport. This sent my anxiety through the roof with my children and caused my mental health to decline considerably which is why i self admitted to hospital. A few months later my wife had her breakdown which put massive strain on the family as she was diagnosed phycosis where she was convinced no matter who told her that she was dying and some thing was infesting her this was extremely hard for myself to see my wife go through along with putting extreme stress on my own recovery. We have had the worst few years of our lives but Its now 2026 and myself and my wife have had enough of bad things happening and we want to make a difference and help others with there greif along with us talking about ours. This year myself and my buisness partner Dave set up our own buisness where we can work from home as my anxiety still stops me from leaving the house regularly, doing so we wanted to incorporate 4louis to benefit as well by raising money for the chairty it will ensure that other grieving family are able to have the amazing packs to help bring some comfort during the worst time of there lives and ensure the hospitals are stocked up from the amazing charity 4louis. Thank you
